Bug - Swachh Bharat Cess feature for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2

Hi All,

Yesterday we discussed about a regulatory Feature Update for India About Swachh Bharat Cess, a New tax launched in India.

There are so many comments which I received about issues that we faced after importing objects released with Hotfix.

I Tired to Debug it and found out the Reason Behind Same. We will discuss same in this article.

But at the same time I created a Product Suggestion Microsoft. If you are one who is facing the issue, please Vote for the Idea on Microsoft Connect.

As per the Installation Section of the Release Note of the Regulatory Feature, this update can be directly imported on NAV 2013 R2 IN (Initial Build Without any Cumulative Update).

Compile all objects and Below Objects were not Compiled (Part of Release)

Objects Are –
Tables – 39 & 81

Codeunit – 12 & 90

Expected Reason -

The Release Document is missing a Pre-Requisite that is required before importing Swachh Bharat Cess Feature.

Where –

TFS160375 – Is For Swachh Bharat Cess Feature
TFS354411 – Is For FVU3.9-4.1 and Zero TDS

I Started Looking Into Partner Source and Found Out That –
But I am unable to find the Pre-Requisite Which I hope should be available is - TFS353595

If you are one who want to test, I found that we actually don't need TFS353595 for resolving compilation issues. Please do it on a Cronus Database That would be a Great Help.

The Installation approach will be  -
1. Download And Install TFS354411 –  FVU3.9-4.1 and Zero TDS, With Replace All.
2. Download And Install TFS160375  – Swachh Bharat Cess Feature, With Replace All.

All the Objects Seems to be getting compiled after this Installation Approach. But I haven't done the process testing. Follow the approach and Let me know the process test results.

BC 21 and Higher - PowerShell Cmdlet (Replacement of Business Central Administration).

Hi Readers, As discussed in last article about deprecating of Business Central Administration, there are few common actions that we use in administration till Business Central 20. For our on-prem customers, we will still require doing activities. As Microsoft suggest we need to start using PowerShell cmdlet.    Let's see how to do those via PowerShell, or Administration Shell. I will be keep adding commands as you comment to this article.

MSDYN365BC - Data Upgrade To Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on premises.

Hi Readers, We have already talked about the number of steps for upgrading to Business Central on Premises from different NAV versions. After that article, I received multiple requests for an article which list down steps for Data Migration. In this article, we will discuss steps of data migration to MSDYN365BC (on-Prem) from NAV 2017. For this article, I am considering a Cronus Demo Database without any customization. For an actual upgrade project, we will have to complete object merge using compare and Merge process. After the Merge Process, the next step is data migration. Let's discuss those steps. Direct Upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-Prem) is from following versions - 1. NAV 2015. 2. NAV 2016. 3. NAV 2017. 4. NAV 2018.
