NAV 2013 R2 & Later - Table Information.

Hi all,

In Good Old time till NAV 2013 we were able to see Record Count, Record Size and Size (KB) from Classic Client.

But i received a query from a Friend about the same view in NAV 2013 R2 & NAV 2015.

In this article we will see how we can achieve it.

Let's go to good old time say NAV 2009 SP1 and see the
Database information.

** Those who don't know what we are discussing please navigate to

File - Database - Information and select tables from the window as shown  =>

With the same window you can check that the Records in the selected Forms are appearing from a table Company Information.

Table Information is a Virtual Table in NAV.

For complete list of Virtual Tables Refer Below Links -

NAV 2009 Virtual Tables

NAV 2015 Virtual Tables

So if the Table 2000000028 still exist in NAV 2013 R2 & NAV 2015, let's create a page on the same and try to run it.

Open Developer Environment and Create a New Page of Type List on Table 2000000028.

Save the Page and Let's Run It.

Yes that is what we were looking for and we were able to find it.

But at the same time Why it was removed in NAV 2013 R2. So i need to check the Impact of Multitenant Environment and then run the Page.

I am not sure about the Results when i run it in a Multi-Tenant Environment. Let's keep our finger crossed and if i find anything change with Multi-Tenant Environment, i will let you know.

Till then good news for Single tenant projects, we can still check the table information in NAV 2013 R2 and NAV 2015.

Stay Tuned for More.

An updated article which same discussion and also include downloading Objects for NAV 2013 R2 and NAV 2015, please refer here.

BC 21 and Higher - PowerShell Cmdlet (Replacement of Business Central Administration).

Hi Readers, As discussed in last article about deprecating of Business Central Administration, there are few common actions that we use in administration till Business Central 20. I will be keep adding commands as you comment to this article.

MSDYN365BC - Data Upgrade To Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on premises.

Hi Readers, We have already talked about the number of steps for upgrading to Business Central on Premises from different NAV versions. After that article, I received multiple requests for an article which list down steps for Data Migration. In this article, we will discuss steps of data migration to MSDYN365BC (on-Prem) from NAV 2017. For this article, I am considering a Cronus Demo Database without any customization. For an actual upgrade project, we will have to complete object merge using compare and Merge process. After the Merge Process, the next step is data migration. Let's discuss those steps. Direct Upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-Prem) is from following versions - 1. NAV 2015. 2. NAV 2016. 3. NAV 2017. 4. NAV 2018.
